Though best known as a food seasoning, Rosemary is also well known for its aromatic and medicinal applications. Studies have shown that breathing diffused rosemary oil to improve mental focus and memory, as it prevents the breakdown of acetylcholine, a brain chemical important concentration. Rosemary is also used to stimulate hair growth, applied directly to the scalp. It is also used as an all-natural bug repellent and pesticide.
Cautions: Possible skin sensitivity. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas. The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that essential oils be taken internally without the supervision of a medical doctor.
