Yuzu essential oil is an aromatic oil extracted from the peel of the Yuzu fruit, scientifically known as Citrus junos. Yuzu is a citrus fruit that originated in East Asia and is primarily grown in Japan, Korea, and China. It is believed to be a hybrid of sour mandarin and Ichang papeda. Yuzu has a unique aroma that is both tart and fragrant, with a bright and refreshing citrus scent.
The essential oil is typically obtained through cold-pressing the outer peel of the Yuzu fruit. The oil is highly concentrated and carries the characteristic aroma of the fruit.
